K2 Space is at the forefront of spacecraft innovation, building some of the largest spacecraft ever flown. As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be instrumental in shaping the software infrastructure that powers our mega class satellites. Your work will directly impact how we write, build, and test code for vehicle and non-vehicle software systems.
In this role, you'll be responsible for creating and maintaining critical infrastructure that enables our software team and broader engineering organization to operate efficiently. Within your first six months, you'll have the opportunity to shape the software solutions for our first mega class satellite. By your first year, your contributions will be crucial in getting that satellite built and ready for flight. Looking ahead to your second year, you'll enable the successful building, flying, and operation of multiple satellites.
We're looking for someone with strong infrastructure and DevOps experience, particularly in build systems, CI/CD platforms, and cloud infrastructure. While we value technical expertise, we also appreciate non-traditional career paths and encourage applications from those who might not meet all requirements but bring unique perspectives to our team.
The role offers competitive compensation ($100,000-$150,000) plus equity, comprehensive benefits including unlimited PTO, and the chance to work on cutting-edge space technology. You'll be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and diversity, working in our Los Angeles office to push the boundaries of what's possible in space exploration.
