K2 Space is seeking a Loads and Dynamics Engineer to join their growing analysis team. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining the structural integrity of K2 Space satellites throughout their lifecycle - from ground transportation to orbital operations. The position combines hands-on engineering with software development, requiring expertise in dynamics analysis, testing, and simulation.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building software tools and establishing simulation workflows for various analyses. They will work on correlating physics models with measured data through development testing and own the qualification and acceptance testing of satellite hardware at both component and vehicle levels. This role offers an opportunity to directly impact the development of reliable and mass-producible spacecraft through well-derived requirements and engineering insights.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 plus equity, along with comprehensive benefits including unlimited PTO, full healthcare coverage, and paid parental leave. The role requires at least 1 year of experience in dynamics and a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or mathematics.
