- Develop familiarity with FPGAs, microcontroller/microprocessor architectures, and PCB-level components
- Collaborate with other disciplines to verify functional and performance margins
- Support non-safety related control system design, implementation, and testing
- Fault-find and document potential vulnerabilities in devices under test
- Produce test rigs for experiments on PCBs (e.g., thermal aging, seismic, RF, ESD)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Nuclear, Computer Science, Computer Technology) or equivalent 4-year technical degree
- Experience with common hardware (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Nucleo, Discovery)
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
- Programming experience in Python, C, C++, or similar languages
- Experience with test procedures and documentation
- Knowledge of safe handling practices for electronics and electrical systems
- Ability to read standards and develop compliance testing procedures
