Responsibilities For Principal Engineer - Power Generation Systems
- Design and develop the Power Generation System (PGS), focusing on steam cycle and related systems
- Lead design trades, performance analyses and optimization of the steam cycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for plant design integration
- Manage external partners, suppliers, regulators and vendors
- Oversee technical specifications and design documents preparation
- Perform feasibility studies and risk assessments
- Mentor and guide engineering team
- Present findings to senior management
- Support commissioning and testing of PGS
- Stay current with industry advancements
Requirements For Principal Engineer - Power Generation Systems
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 15+ years of experience in power conversion systems design
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics
- Experience in managing complex engineering projects
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for nuclear power systems
- Proficiency in engineering simulation software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in highly collaborative team
