Responsibilities For Senior Mechanical Engineer - Remote Handling Special Components

  • Develop innovative modular component solutions for reactor systems
  • Collaborate with Engineering Teams and industry partners
  • Communicate proposals to related teams and leadership
  • Lead collaborative conceptual, preliminary, and final reviews
  • Deliver test-proven hardware through SolidWorks CAD design
  • Publish engineering reports documenting design details and test results
  • Integrate design to cost and manufacturing efforts
  • Participate in inspections, quality checks, and testing
  • Mentor junior engineers in design and testing of prototype systems

Requirements For Senior Mechanical Engineer - Remote Handling Special Components

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience developing and delivering hardware
  • Expertise in systems and machine design, preferably in safety-significant systems
  • Proven team player with excellent communication skills
  • Expertise with material selection and compatibility
  • Proficiency in computer methods for data acquisition
  • Experience with power generation systems
  • Strong background in low voltage electrical systems
  • Familiarity with pressure systems and fluid conveyance systems
  • Experience as a technical mentor
  • Ability to work within a highly collaborative team
