Responsibilities For Senior Mechanical Engineer - Remote Handling Special Components
- Develop innovative modular component solutions for reactor systems
- Collaborate with Engineering Teams and industry partners
- Communicate proposals to related teams and leadership
- Lead collaborative conceptual, preliminary, and final reviews
- Deliver test-proven hardware through SolidWorks CAD design
- Publish engineering reports documenting design details and test results
- Integrate design to cost and manufacturing efforts
- Participate in inspections, quality checks, and testing
- Mentor junior engineers in design and testing of prototype systems
Requirements For Senior Mechanical Engineer - Remote Handling Special Components
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience developing and delivering hardware
- Expertise in systems and machine design, preferably in safety-significant systems
- Proven team player with excellent communication skills
- Expertise with material selection and compatibility
- Proficiency in computer methods for data acquisition
- Experience with power generation systems
- Strong background in low voltage electrical systems
- Familiarity with pressure systems and fluid conveyance systems
- Experience as a technical mentor
- Ability to work within a highly collaborative team
