They're seeking a Senior Process Design Engineer to join their mission of enabling the world's transition to clean energy while protecting the environment.

The role offers an opportunity to work on groundbreaking technology in their first low-power demonstration reactor and future commercial units. The position requires a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in process design engineering, particularly in handling complex systems involving hazardous chemicals and high-temperature processes.

The ideal candidate will be immersed in a collaborative environment, working with multi-disciplinary teams to design, optimize, and document main and auxiliary systems. Key responsibilities include developing P&IDs, conducting sizing analyses, and maintaining subject matter expertise in thermal design and heat transfer equipment.

Responsibilities For Senior Process Design Engineer

  • Support process design and integration for main and auxiliary systems
  • Develop and maintain P&IDs and PFDs for non-nuclear test plant
  • Support development of plant operational states and FMEAs
  • Conduct sizing analysis and develop equipment specifications
  • Develop system design documentation and maintenance plans
  • Interface with various engineering teams
  • Provide expertise for thermal design and heat transfer equipment

Requirements For Senior Process Design Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with hazardous chemicals and high-temperature processes
  • Knowledge of HazOp process
  • Experience with process simulation software
  • Experience in product development from concept to commissioning
  • Experience with Heat and Mass Balance Diagrams
  • Broad technical understanding of other design disciplines
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Travel up to 20% may be required
