Description For Machine Learning Engineer

Kalepa is revolutionizing the trillion-dollar commercial insurance industry with its state-of-the-art AI Copilot platform. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you'll lead the framing, development, and deployment of machine learning models at scale to understand the risk of various business classes. You'll work with vast amounts of structured and unstructured data from diverse sources, including web data, geolocation, and satellite imaging, to generate novel insights about behavior and risk.

The role demands a hustler mentality, finding ways to get things done and overcoming obstacles. You'll need 3+ years of experience in engineering and data science, with an in-depth understanding of applied machine learning algorithms, especially NLP, and statistics. Proficiency in Python and its major data science libraries is essential, along with experience in deploying models and algorithms in production.

Kalepa values transparency, experimentation, and a customer-focused approach. The team works in two-week sprints, collaborating closely with Product Management and Software Engineers. You'll have full ownership of your projects, driving their direction and maintaining focus.
