Responsibilities For Cloud Security Engineer

  • Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud
  • Develop and enforce cloud security policies, procedures, and controls
  • Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
  • Implement and manage cloud-native security solutions
  • Automate security monitoring, incident response, and compliance reporting
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents
  • Stay up to date on emerging cloud security threats and trends

Requirements For Cloud Security Engineer

Python
Kubernetes
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud security, cybersecurity, or related roles
  • Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP security architectures
  • Experience with cloud IAM, encryption, network security, and monitoring tools
  • Hands-on experience with container security (Kubernetes, Docker) and serverless security
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Terraform, or similar)
  • Knowledge of zero-trust security models and secure coding practices
  • Familiarity with SOC, SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAFs, and endpoint security tools
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer are a plus
