Responsibilities For Cloud Security Engineer
- Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, procedures, and controls
- Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
- Implement and manage cloud-native security solutions
- Automate security monitoring, incident response, and compliance reporting
- Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure compliance with industry standards
- Investigate and respond to security incidents
- Stay up to date on emerging cloud security threats and trends
Requirements For Cloud Security Engineer
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security, cybersecurity, or related roles
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP security architectures
- Experience with cloud IAM, encryption, network security, and monitoring tools
- Hands-on experience with container security (Kubernetes, Docker) and serverless security
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Terraform, or similar)
- Knowledge of zero-trust security models and secure coding practices
- Familiarity with SOC, SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAFs, and endpoint security tools
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer are a plus
