Description For QA Automation Engineer

As a QA Automation Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in developing and executing automated test scripts using the Cypress framework, ensuring the quality and functionality of web applications. You'll work with cross-functional teams to implement effective test automation strategies and maintain test suites that align with application updates.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of programming experience with Java, JavaScript, and Python, along with strong knowledge of Cypress and testing frameworks. You'll be responsible for end-to-end testing, defect tracking, and process automation, while collaborating with software engineers to optimize development.

Responsibilities For QA Automation Engineer

  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using Cypress framework
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement test automation strategies
  • Maintain and enhance existing automated test suites
  • Identify, record, and track software defects
  • Perform end-to-end testing for web applications
  • Analyze test results and generate reports
  • Integrate manual test paths using API scripts
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Work with software engineers to optimize automation development

Requirements For QA Automation Engineer

  • 3+ years of programming experience with Java, JavaScript and Python
  • Knowledge with Cypress and dashboards
  • Strong problem solver with focus on code design, quality and architecture
  • Working knowledge of software development methodologies and tools
  • Familiarity with relational databases (SQL server, MySQL)
  • Experience with other testing frameworks or tools (Selenium, Mocha, Jest) is a plus
