This role involves providing comprehensive IT support for VA Administrations and special program offices, supporting over 340,000 VA employees. The position is based at the Salem VA Medical Center and requires hands-on system administration, user support, and technical troubleshooting skills. The ideal candidate will have experience with Windows environments, Active Directory, and ServiceNow ticketing systems. Responsibilities For Customer Service Engineer (System Administrator) (VA-ESOM)

  • Install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot computer systems and equipment

  • Monitor tickets in VA's ServiceNow system

Requirements For Customer Service Engineer (System Administrator) (VA-ESOM)

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline
  • 2+ years of relevant Experience
  • Experience in conducting routine system administration tasks
  • Knowledge of debugging protocols and processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of Windows system administration
  • Physical capability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds
  • US Citizen or Green card holder
  • Willing to get a Public Trust Suitability clearance
