Key about your role: You are at your best when you have automated all our chores away and ready to spend time innovating our platform from an operating system perspective. Besides the daily maintenance and management of our Red Hat Linux / VMware powered virtual infrastructures, you will participate in or initiate our change and improvement projects.

Key about you: You are a skilled (Red Hat) Linux systems engineer with extensive experience in managing, maintaining, and automating Linux-based server infrastructures in a (private) cloud environment. Your expertise lies in automating routine tasks and focusing on innovating our virtual platform.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (or a comparable Linux flavor), and large virtual environments managed with VMware in large (private) cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in developing Bash and/or Python scripts, and infrastructure automation using Puppet and Ansible.
  • Red Hat certification (RHCSA, RHCE, etc.) or equivalent working experience.
  • Experience with container platforms like OpenShift and Kubernetes, and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as CheckMK and Elastic, and a basic understanding of network technology.

Key about your team: As a Senior Linux Engineer, you'll be a vital member of our IT team of 18 professionals, dedicated to maintaining a virtual private cloud environment for our top-tier SaaS applications. Our team operates across The Netherlands and India, with your primary base in our Utrecht office, working alongside 13 colleagues specializing in Networking, Virtualization, Backup, Security, Monitoring, and more.
