Head of Engineering - Trading

The Head of Engineering - Trading role at Keyrock is a critical leadership position responsible for guiding the engineering team in developing and maintaining trading and back-office systems. The ideal candidate should excel in fast-paced environments and have a deep understanding of building scalable, resilient, and high-performance systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing a team of talented engineers
• Driving the design and development of high-concurrency trading systems
• Collaborating with product management to align engineering efforts with product goals
• Implementing best practices in software development
• Ensuring system scalability, reliability, and security
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship
• Staying current with industry trends and identifying innovation opportunities
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and other engineering managers

Requirements for the role include:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field experience
• Proven experience with high-concurrency, high-performance trading systems
• Strong proficiency in Rust, Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript), and Python
• Experience managing engineering teams
• Deep understanding of software engineering best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
