Kickstarter is seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer II to join our team and help deliver great experiences for Kickstarter creators and backers.
The product development team builds the platform that helps bring creative projects to life. We're a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, data analysts, and community specialists working collaboratively using iterative, data-driven, and outcome-oriented approaches to solve problems.
In this role, you will:
- Play a key role in driving the technical direction of the Kickstarter platform and product
- Write well-tested software that meets product, design, and operational criteria
- Estimate task complexity and guide team execution of large to extra-large projects
- Identify and propose technical project opportunities and suggest process improvements
- Participate in group code reviews and on-call rotation
- Pair with and provide growth feedback and mentorship to more junior teammates
About You:
- Deep, extensive professional experience in Android development with Java, Kotlin, and GraphQL
- Collaborative approach, excellent communication, and time management skills
- Experience mentoring other engineers and designing scalable systems
- Pragmatic approach to writing well-tested, maintainable code
