Description For Web Developer and Designer

KoBold Metals is revolutionizing the mining industry through AI-powered mineral exploration. As the largest independent mineral exploration company and exploration technology developer, KoBold has successfully made its first discovery with significantly less capital than industry standards, uncovering one of the highest-quality copper deposits ever found.

As the Web Developer and Designer, you'll work directly with the CEO and CLO to shape the company's digital presence. This role combines technical expertise in web development with creative design skills, requiring proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and design tools like Figma or Adobe Illustrator. You'll be responsible for the entire website lifecycle, from conceptualization to implementation, while working closely with project teams to effectively communicate complex scientific work to diverse audiences.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to join a well-funded startup backed by prestigious investors including T. Rowe Price, Andreessen Horowitz, and Breakthrough Energy Ventures. You'll be part of a dynamic team that includes data scientists from leading tech companies and renowned exploration geologists, working together to address the critical challenge of discovering new mineral deposits essential for electric vehicles and renewable energy.

This remote position offers flexibility to work from anywhere in the US or Canada, with a competitive salary range of $80,000-$125,000. The role requires 5+ years of experience in website development and design, with the opportunity to grow as the company expands. You'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact on both the company's brand identity and its mission to revolutionize mineral exploration through technology.
