Platform Engineer

Kooth is seeking a Platform Engineer to work within a platform squad to maintain and improve Kooth's cloud infrastructure and tooling. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure across Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services, using Terraform and good Infrastructure-as-Code practices. The engineer will develop and maintain tools and shared libraries to maximize reliability and observability of software and services, primarily using Node.js. Key responsibilities include supporting software engineers, advising on cloud infrastructure and reliability matters, implementing compliance and security best practices, and participating in an off-hours on-call rotation. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with AWS or GCP, in-depth understanding of Terraform, working knowledge of Javascript and Node.js, and strong communication skills.
