This role is part of the Engine Tech Team, which is responsible for improving and optimizing the game engines used across PUBG Studio's projects, including the blockbuster battle royale PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG) and an unannounced online shooter project.
The position requires deep expertise in game engine development, particularly with Unreal Engine 4/5. The successful candidate will work on critical low-level systems including core functionality, memory allocation, and file systems. They will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing engine performance metrics such as loading times, memory usage, and execution speed across both PC and console platforms.
The role combines structured project work (60%) with self-directed problem-solving (40%), requiring both technical expertise and initiative. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in engine development or commercial engine usage, strong C++ programming skills, and a comprehensive understanding of computer hardware and operating systems.
