The Localization Engineer, as part of the Localization team, provides technical support not only to their own team but also to game development studios and collaborative departments to ensure smooth and efficient execution of localization-related tasks.

Technical support includes not only analyzing and processing localization-related assets but also providing support and advice on localization-related settings at the game engine level, providing tools and building platforms that can be used for localization-related tasks in various collaborative departments, and automating work processes.

Localization Engineers are involved from the early stages of the game development pipeline, so they need to understand the game development pipeline and at the same time identify the requirements or problems of various collaborative departments and have the ability to solve them through technical support.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis, processing, and management of localization-related assets
  • Development of Windows applications related to localization tasks
  • Automation and optimization of localization work processes
  • R&D on new technologies related to localization, such as game engines, CAT Tools, Machine Translation, etc.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in developing Windows applications using C#, Java, C++, Python, etc.
  • Experience in considering and improving work productivity
  • Clear and unambiguous communication skills
  • Ability to understand and solve problems through analysis
  • No restrictions on overseas travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Unreal and Unity engines
  • Understanding and experience with game development pipelines
  • Experience in developing game operation tools
  • Understanding of localization processes
  • Experience in developing plugins/add-ons for Unreal and Unity engines
  • Business English proficiency
