Description For Analytics Engineer - Utilities

Kraken Technologies UK is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join their Utilities division, working on their innovative platform that's transforming the energy and utilities industry. The platform currently supports 55 million customer accounts globally, with aims to reach 100 million by 2027.

The role sits within the Kraken Utilities team, a growing division that's expanding the platform's capabilities into water and broadband sectors. With over 90 people in the utilities team and 1500+ in the broader organization, you'll be part of a dynamic environment that's already secured partnerships with major clients like Severn Trent, Leep, Portsmouth Water, and Cuckoo.

As an Analytics Engineer, you'll work with state-of-the-art tools and technologies to build and maintain data models, create insightful dashboards, and support the AI/ML team. The position requires a blend of technical expertise in SQL and Python, along with strong communication skills to effectively convey complex insights to diverse stakeholders.

The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring 2 days per week in the London office near Oxford Circus.   • Design and build dashboards that track and communicate product health and success
  • Empower clients to interpret Kraken's data
  • Provide ad hoc analytics and data science support to AI/ML team
  • Navigate and thrive in an evolving environment with shifting priorities

Requirements For Analytics Engineer - Utilities

Python
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction and analysis
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker
  • Experience working collaboratively using git
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and effectively
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical mindset
  • Comfortable with using command line and writing basic code
  • Must have full right to work in the UK
