Responsibilities For Data Engineer II

  • Design robust and scalable data-based solutions that meet long-term needs
  • Develop complex data processing systems to support data consumer use cases
  • Develop CI/CD workflows for automated production deployments and monitoring
  • Develop infrastructure as code for automated, clean, and organized infrastructure deployment
  • Apply data cleaning techniques to facilitate consumption and improve quality
  • Provide guidance to others to strengthen their solutions through expertise

Requirements For Data Engineer II

Java

  • Ability to transform requirements into functional production software
  • Ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team
  • Strong technical knowledge in programming, preferably Java and Python (Scala is a plus)
  • Extensive knowledge in traditional SQL query development
  • Experience with software design patterns
  • Experience working with database engines
  • Experience using distributed programming engines for data processing with Spark
  • Experience integrating, designing and building data pipelines
  • Knowledge of AWS big data services: S3, EC2, Glue, Athena, EMR
  • Advanced Spanish required
  • Conversational English
