Responsibilities For Senior Data Engineer
- Design scalable data-based solutions to support long-term needs with deep knowledge of technical best practices
- Develop complex data processing systems to support data consumer use cases
- Develop CI/CD flows for automated production deployments and monitoring
- Develop infrastructure as code for automated, clean, and organized infrastructure deployment
- Apply data cleaning techniques to facilitate consumption and improve quality
- Design complex distributed systems using batch and streaming fundamentals
- Collaborate effectively with technical leaders, architects, and stakeholders
- Guide junior team members and participate actively in methodology meetings and code reviews
Requirements For Senior Data Engineer
- Proven ability to transform requirements into functional production software
- Advanced knowledge in Java and Python programming (Scala is a plus)
- Strong experience with SQL queries
- Experience with AWS Big Data services: S3, EC2, Glue, Athena, Lambda, and EMR
- Experience with Spark and distributed data processing engines
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience in designing and implementing data pipelines
- Advanced Spanish and English proficiency
- Experience with distributed message brokers in production
- Knowledge of data architecture fundamentals
