The Staff Mobile Engineer role is a crucial position where you'll shape the future of mobile technology at Kueski. You'll be responsible for ensuring the team follows best architectural and coding practices while actively advocating for continuous improvement. The role requires strong technical leadership, mentoring abilities, and strategic planning skills. You'll work with cross-functional teams to develop scalable mobile solutions, lead technical initiatives, and drive innovation in the mobile development space.

The ideal candidate will bring 6+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in mobile development, particularly in iOS and/or Android platforms. You'll need to demonstrate proficiency in developing reliable applications for challenging network conditions, implementing local persistence mechanisms, and optimizing application performance. Experience with Flutter/Dart is highly desired, along with strong knowledge of mobile hardware integration and CI/CD practices.

  • Collaborate with team and mentor other members to achieve team goals
  • Establish long-term technical vision for mobile development
  • Lead strategic problem-solving and influence stakeholders with data-driven decisions
  • Promote best practices in architecture and software development
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • Ensure code quality through review processes
  • Support team in incident management and root cause analysis
  • Mentor team members and help integrate new engineers
  • Participate in pair programming sessions when needed
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to evolve architecture

Requirements For Staff Software Engineer (Mobile)

  • 6+ years of experience as Software Engineer with strong technical knowledge in mobile development (iOS and/or Android)
  • Experience with simulators and test case definition
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline configuration
  • Ability to define architectures and patterns
  • Experience with A/B testing and progressive deployments for mobile applications
  • Strong experience in developing reliable applications for limited internet environments
  • Expertise in mobile application performance optimization
  • Deep understanding of modular mobile application development
  • Experience with Google Play/App Store deployment
  • Strong familiarity with mobile hardware and media (GPS, Camera, NFC)
  • Advanced Spanish and English proficiency
  • Experience mentoring development teams
  • Flutter/Dart experience (highly desired)
