Description For Service Desk Engineer

La Fosse is seeking a Service Desk Engineer to play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth IT operations. As the first point of contact for technical issues, you'll diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve various problems while providing exceptional user support. The role encompasses technical support, user account management, hardware/software maintenance, and systems monitoring. You'll contribute to IT projects, maintain documentation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities For Service Desk Engineer

  • Act as primary point of contact for IT support requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems
  • Provide first-line and basic second-line support for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions across systems
  • Support configuration, installation, and maintenance of IT hardware
  • Monitor IT systems, network performance, servers, and critical applications
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Contribute to IT projects and process improvements
  • Deliver outstanding customer service

Requirements For Service Desk Engineer

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (10/11)
  • Proficiency in Office 365 suite
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • 1-3 years of experience in service desk or technical support role
