Description For Senior Integration & Test Engineer

Latitude AI (lat.ai) is an automated driving technology company developing a hands-free, eyes-off driver assist system for next-generation Ford vehicles at scale. We're driven by the opportunity to reimagine what it's like to drive and make travel safer, less stressful, and more enjoyable for everyone.

When you join the Latitude team, you'll work alongside leading experts across machine learning and robotics, cloud platforms, mapping, sensors and compute systems, test operations, systems and safety engineering – all dedicated to making a real, positive impact on the driving experience for millions of people.

As a Ford Motor Company subsidiary, we operate independently to develop automated driving technology at the speed of a technology startup. Latitude is headquartered in Pittsburgh with engineering centers in Dearborn, Mich., and Palo Alto, Calif.

The System Test Strategy & Execution team is responsible for assuring autonomy performance using in-vehicle, simulation, resimulation (simulation using vehicle sensor logs), and bench testing as well as triage of fleet and test based software issues. Our team enables requirements verification and validation by designing and implementing tests across all test modalities and providing feedback and issue identification to the autonomy software teams.

As a Senior Integration & Test Engineer, you will:

  • Conduct hands-on testing with autonomous vehicles based out of our facilities in Dearborn, MI
  • Work in Release Candidate and Development Testing areas
  • Interface with colleagues within Ford's ADAS division to develop and execute test plans of next generation driver assistance systems
  • Test autonomy developers pull requests on vehicles on closed course test tracks and public roads
  • Leverage system requirements to develop Release Candidate tests and Structured Tests as needed for Development Testing
  • Support Vehicle Behavior requirements and simulation functional set development
  • Work with automated ADAS test equipment to execute choreographed scenarios
  • Analyze test results, create detailed written reports, and provide feedback to developers to improve software
  • Conduct integration testing to ensure the seamless interoperability of software, hardware, and sensor systems within the automated driving stack
