Description For Software Engineer - Data Labeling

Latitude AI, a Ford Motor Company subsidiary, is at the forefront of developing automated driving technology for next-generation vehicles. As a Software Engineer in the Labeling team, you'll be part of the Intelligent Systems organization, working on crucial tools and services that provide labeled "ground truth" log data for model training and evaluation.

The role combines backend development using Python and frontend development with TypeScript, requiring expertise in both areas. You'll be working with cutting-edge technologies including PostgreSQL, React, and Kubernetes to build and maintain large-scale data labeling services. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative tools that incorporate, visualize, and manipulate both human and machine-generated labels.

The company offers an impressive benefits package, including competitive compensation ($146,000 - $219,000), comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) with immediate vesting, unlimited vacation, and various other perks like daily lunches and wellness stipends. The work environment is collaborative, with team members spread across multiple engineering centers in Pittsburgh, Dearborn, and Palo Alto.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 2+ years of experience who wants to make a real impact on the future of autonomous driving. You'll work alongside experts in machine learning, robotics, cloud platforms, and various other specialized fields. The role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality engineering practices.

What makes this role particularly appealing is the unique position of Latitude AI - operating with the agility of a startup while having the backing and resources of Ford Motor Company. This combination provides the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that will directly impact millions of drivers while enjoying the stability and benefits of an established company.
