Description For Mac Engineer

Join a dynamic IT team as a Mac Engineer specializing in Apple device management and JAMF implementation. This hybrid position offers 4 days of remote work per week with 1 day in-office, starting as a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity. You'll be instrumental in managing and optimizing the organization's Apple ecosystem, ensuring seamless operations across macOS devices.

The role combines technical expertise in Apple device management with security implementation and automation development. You'll be responsible for managing the entire Apple device lifecycle using JAMF Pro, from provisioning to maintenance, while ensuring compliance with security standards. Your expertise in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or AppleScript will be utilized to create efficient automation solutions.

As a key member of the IT team, you'll provide high-level technical support, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the organization's IT strategy. Responsibilities For Mac Engineer

  • Administer and manage the Apple ecosystem using JAMF Pro, including provisioning, configuration, patching, and inventory management
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain configuration profiles, policies, and packages for macOS and iOS devices
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Apple device performance
  • Ensure Apple devices comply with security standards and policies
  • Implement and maintain integration between JAMF and other enterprise systems
  • Develop custom scripts using Bash, Python, or AppleScript
  • Provide tier-3 support for escalated macOS and iOS issues
  • Develop user documentation and provide training
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT initiatives
  • Research and evaluate emerging Apple technologies

Requirements For Mac Engineer
