Description For Project Controls Engineer

The Project Controls Engineer will play a critical role in the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of projects, with a focus on data center construction. This position requires a strong background in project controls and involves collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Assisting in monitoring project costs, budgets, and forecasts
  • Interpreting contracts related to planning and scheduling
  • Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
  • Creating and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics
  • Preparing and presenting regular reports on project status
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of project controls processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Controls Engineer on data center projects
  • Strong familiarity with contracts related to planning and scheduling
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other project management software
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience in developing metrics for project performance analysis
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
