The Project Controls Engineer will play a critical role in the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of projects, with a focus on data center construction. This position requires a strong background in project controls and involves collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6
- Assisting in monitoring project costs, budgets, and forecasts
- Interpreting contracts related to planning and scheduling
- Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Creating and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics
- Preparing and presenting regular reports on project status
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of project controls processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Controls Engineer on data center projects
- Strong familiarity with contracts related to planning and scheduling
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other project management software
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Experience in developing metrics for project performance analysis
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
