Secret Cleared Java/C++ Engineer (Jr-Mid)

We are seeking a Secret Cleared Junior to Mid-Level Engineer for an exciting opportunity in the defense sector. This role is based in the Savage, MD area and requires candidates with at least 2 years of defense contracting experience, specifically working on Department of Defense (DoD) and Military Applications.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work on critical defense projects requiring both Java and C++ development expertise. As a cleared professional, you'll be working in a secure environment contributing to important military and defense applications. The role demands strong technical capabilities in Java, C++, and Linux environments, combined with the necessary security credentials.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a 6-month initial contract period, offering competitive compensation ranging from $40-45 per hour (approximately $83,200-$93,600 annually), with potential for higher compensation for exceptionally qualified candidates. The position requires an active Secret Security Clearance and proof of US Citizenship due to the nature of the work and government requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• An active Secret Security Clearance
• Strong programming skills in both Java and C++
• Extensive Linux experience
• Security+ Certification (preferred)
• Experience with defense contracting and military applications
