Lead Growth Software Engineer

LawnStarter is seeking a Lead Growth Software Engineer to join their team. This role involves leading technical initiatives, architecting solutions, writing quality code, and solving technical challenges to improve user experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in full-stack engineering, cloud development, and growth strategies. Key responsibilities include leading platform development, resolving complex problems, identifying technical debt, and ensuring thorough automated testing. What you'll do:

• Lead technical initiatives from inception to user delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build the LawnStarter platform
• Architect solutions and write quality code
• Lead other engineers by example
• Work with various technologies including JavaScript, PHP, and Terraform
• Identify and address challenges in software delivery
• Ensure best development techniques and architectural patterns are used
• Own and resolve complex system and integration problems
• Identify technical debt buydown opportunities
• Implement thorough automated testing
• Communicate patterns and solutions through documentation and presentations

Requirements:

• Experienced full-stack engineer
• Familiarity with cloud development, Test Driven Development, RESTful APIs, React, and MVC frameworks
• Understanding of fundamental computer science concepts
• Knowledge of technical SEO best practices
• Experience in developing strategies to improve conversion rates
• Firm grasp of SQL and databases (including non-relational)
