Description For Network Engineer

LeaseWeb is a global hosting provider with an impressive network infrastructure, featuring direct connectivity to more than 4000 Internet networks via their global Internet backbone. The company maintains over 50 Points-of-Presence across Europe, the US, and Asia, connecting to all major Tier 1 Internet backbones. As a Network Engineer, you'll join their Network team responsible for managing and supporting networks and Internet traffic for LeaseWeb entities worldwide.

The role combines technical expertise with customer support, requiring both strong networking skills and excellent communication abilities. You'll be handling critical network incidents, maintaining infrastructure, and provisioning services while also contributing to the company's growth through training colleagues and supporting various projects.

Responsibilities For Network Engineer

  • Handling network related incidents (analyze, resolve, report)
  • Network maintenance (back-ups, spares management, documentation, IP address management)
  • Provision network services (equipment configuration, test, administrative tasks)
  • Support for projects and development in other LeaseWeb entities
  • Train and coach colleagues (in own team and other teams, e.g. Global Support Center)

Requirements For Network Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor degree (working level)
  • CCNP certification (or Juniper equivalent)
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Oral and Written communication in English
  • Customer orientation
  • Extra-organizational awareness
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Commitment to quality
  • Drive to analyze complex problems and delivering good solutions
