Senior System Engineer – Public Cloud Scalability

Leaseweb, a global cloud hosting and infrastructure provider, is seeking a Senior System Engineer to join their Public Cloud Scalability team. Working within a diverse team of 90 engineers organized in small scrum teams, you'll be responsible for managing and scaling the Public Cloud infrastructure. The role combines technical expertise in Linux systems, networking, and virtualization with leadership responsibilities.

You'll be part of a team of DevOps engineers focused on building reliable platforms and interfaces for Leaseweb's Public Cloud, ensuring high availability and scalability of services.

Key technical requirements include strong experience with Python/Golang, Linux systems (Ubuntu), virtualization technologies (KVM, QEMU, libvirt), and configuration management tools like Kubernetes. You'll also need expertise in MySQL/Galera clusters and monitoring platforms such as Prometheus and Nagios.

The role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, including guiding peers, implementing solutions, and providing 3rd line incident support. You'll be working in an international environment with colleagues from over 60 countries, with bi-annual in-person meetings at the Amsterdam headquarters.
