Description For Electronics Engineer

Ledger, a leading global platform for digital assets and Web3, is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their team in Paris. With over 20% of the world's crypto assets secured through their Ledger Nanos and more than 7 million units sold in 200 countries, Ledger is at the forefront of cryptocurrency security.

The role involves designing and developing electronic systems for Ledger's hardware wallets, including component selection, schematic design, and PCB layout. You'll be responsible for testing and validating design choices, working with RF technologies like BLE, NFC, and Wifi, and managing pre-certification processes. The position requires collaboration with hardware and firmware teams to ensure smooth program delivery.

As an ideal candidate, you'll bring 2+ years of consumer electronics industry experience, with expertise in complex schematics and layout design. Your hands-on experience with board-level testing and debugging, combined with knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity, will be crucial. The ability to write Python scripts for test automation is essential.

Responsibilities For Electronics Engineer

  • Design and develop electronic system (components selection, schematic design, PCB layout and system integration)
  • Drive testing, experimentation and validation of design choices
  • Understand basic RF concepts and assist in RF testing for BLE, NFC or Wifi
  • Manage pre-certification process with Operational Team
  • Support industrialization process and ensure support during industrial phases
  • Communicate with hardware and firmware team members

Requirements For Electronics Engineer

Python
  • 2+ years of experience in the consumer electronics industry
  • Experience in designing complex schematics and layout
  • Hands-on experience in board level testing and debugging
  • Good understanding of signal integrity, power integrity and common Bus protocols
  • Ability to write simple Python scripts for automating testing tasks
  • Willingness to travel
  • Good level in English
