PHP Engineer (US Cards)

Lendable, one of the UK's newest unicorns, is seeking a PHP Engineer to join their US Cards engineering team. As a profitable fintech company since 2017, backed by Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs, Lendable is revolutionizing consumer finance through faster, cheaper, and friendlier solutions.

The role sits within a team of 15 engineers, part of a larger 100+ engineering function. You'll work on critical projects including API development, customer journey improvements, and platform optimization. The tech stack includes modern tools like PHP 8, Symfony, AWS, MySQL, RabbitMQ, and Kubernetes.

The ideal candidate will bring strong PHP 8.0+ experience, framework knowledge (Symfony/Laravel), and robust testing skills. Experience with Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems, and microservices is advantageous but not required.
