Description For Senior Data Engineer

LendingTree, a leading financial technology company, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their innovative team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and scale their proprietary data platform that powers Business Intelligence reports, Analytics, and Marketplace technologies. The position requires expertise in building streaming data pipelines and collaborating across multiple departments including Marketing, Product, Data Science, and Analytics.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCS) and strong knowledge of streaming technologies like Kafka. You'll be working with modern data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks, while utilizing tools like dbt and Apache Airflow for data transformation and orchestration.

Responsibilities For Senior Data Engineer

  • Deliver high quality, innovative data integration solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Create real-time streaming data pipelines for multiple sources and data types
  • Develop and support Marketplace data integrations spanning multiple verticals
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Data Architects, Data Product Owners, and Business Owners
  • Develop and manage technical documentation
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for off-hours support

Requirements For Senior Data Engineer

  • 3+ years of experience in implementing data services using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Services
  • Strong experience with Messaging and event Streaming technologies
  • Strong experience with Cloud Based Data Warehousing and Analytics Platform
  • Proficient in data transformation and orchestration tools
  • Experience with dimensional modeling and data vault modeling
  • Ability to design, implement, and support data integration projects
  • Experience in building and supporting serverless architecture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise in at least 1 programming language
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge
  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree (preferred)
  • Experience with Snowflake clustering, hybrid tables, materialized views (preferred)
