They are seeking a Controls Software Engineer to join their Production Maintenance department and Automation engineering team.

The role focuses on upgrading legacy controls in the production assembly department and supporting new equipment development. As a Controls Software Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of manufacturing innovation, working with cutting-edge technology to design, develop, and implement PLC software and control systems. Your responsibilities will include writing and debugging PLC programs, developing HMI applications, and configuring industrial communication networks.

The position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated automation team in a collaborative environment, designing and implementing custom automation tools for manufacturing, assembling, aligning, and inspecting complex optomechanical systems. Responsibilities For Controls Software Engineer

  • Write, test, and debug PLC programs using ladder logic, structured text, function block diagrams, CODESYS
  • Develop HMI applications for operator interaction
  • Configure and program industrial communication networks
  • Integrate PLC code with automation components
  • Conduct testing and validation of control systems
  • Design and implement controls retrofits
  • Create documentation for PLC programs
  • Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams

Requirements For Controls Software Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in PLC programming and industrial automation
  • Proficiency in major PLC platform
  • Experience with HMI development software
  • Experience with control system retrofits and upgrades
