As a key member reporting to the Director of Infrastructure Engineering, you'll play a crucial role in protecting their renewable energy marketplace platform. The position combines software and security engineering expertise, focusing on cloud and platform security.

Your responsibilities will span from conducting vulnerability analyses and implementing security patches to developing security tools and managing cloud security configurations. You'll work closely with both Engineering and Information Security teams, making a direct impact on the company's security posture.
The position offers competitive compensation ($140,000-$155,000 annually) plus bonus and equity opportunities. Responsibilities For Security Infrastructure Engineer
- Work closely with Engineering and Information security teams to coordinate and support penetration tests and security patches
- Vulnerability analysis of internal and open source code
- Remediate and patch open source dependencies
- Reviewing pull requests and providing guidance on security best practices
- Identify ways to improve security of our cloud environment and operations
- Implement policy as code with our Infrastructure as Code toolchain
- Implement Dynamic Application Security Tests
- Cloud security configurations and operations, including monitoring, key management, security patches, and managing IAM policies
- Develop security tools
- On-call rotations
Requirements For Security Infrastructure Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated experience in programming, specifically Javascript and Python
- Demonstrated experience in scripting languages, specifically Bash
- Demonstrated experience working on Red and/or Blue teams simulating attacks and defense
- Demonstrated experience securing a cloud environment (AWS/GCP)
- Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP)
- Proficient in Linux operating systems and Unix shells
- Deep understanding of secure coding and defense methodologies, such as OWASP
- Deep understanding of web services and web application development preferred
