Virtualization Engineer

As a Virtualization Engineer at LightEdge Solutions, you'll be a crucial part of the Cloud Operations team, reporting to the Cloud Operations Manager. Your role involves managing the lifecycle, maintenance, and operations of cloud systems and component architecture. You'll participate in projects to develop new Virtualization infrastructure, implement core systems, and support critical organizational initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing lifecycle processes to mitigate risks and ensure platform currency
• Working with technologies like vCenter, VMware Cloud Director, NSX-T, and VMware Operations
• Designing, installing, and implementing VMware ESX server and related products
• Providing client support and technical issue resolution
• Maintaining capacity management processes and ensuring resource availability
• Troubleshooting performance and configuration issues
• Participating in 24x7 on-call rotation

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's Degree in IT or related industry experience
• 3-5 years of IT industry experience
• VMware certifications (preferred)
• Strong scripting and automation skills
• Experience with SAN/Storage platforms, RedHat/Linux or Windows Server, and Dell/Cisco hardware
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
