Lightfield, an innovative CRM platform, is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join their GenAI Platform team. The company specializes in creating a collaborative system that helps founders manage customer relationships more effectively through AI-powered solutions.
The role focuses on building and leading the development of ML product development infrastructure, with emphasis on scaling and innovation in LLM model training and prompting. As a key member of the AI/ML team, you'll be at the forefront of developing domain-specific AI that outperforms generic LLMs.
The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $180K to $270K, plus equity, based in San Francisco. The ideal candidate brings 6+ years of software engineering experience with ML infrastructure focus, along with strong understanding of deep learning frameworks and LLM integration.

Responsibilities For Machine Learning Engineer, GenAI Platform
- Lead the development of ML product development infrastructure, focusing on scaling and innovating in areas of collaboration and versioning
- Create and maintain a platform that will be used by multiple teams working on ML products
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to integrate ML solutions and define best practices
- Help build a world-class AI/ML engineering team by recruiting and mentoring teammates

Requirements For Machine Learning Engineer, GenAI Platform
- BS or MS degree in CS, Engineering, AI or a related field
- 6+ years experience in software engineering with a focus on ML infrastructure
- Strong understanding of deep learning AI/ML frameworks or cloud services
- Experience with the integration of software engineering with large language models
- Ability to navigate and solve open-ended technological challenges in a fast-evolving AI landscape
