Responsibilities For Optical Assembly Process Development Engineer

  • Lead the development, optimization, and validation fiber & lens attach processes for prototype builds
  • Design and conduct experiments to optimize process parameters fiber alignment/attachment
  • Work closely with R&D and design teams to understand product requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical challenges
  • Perform root cause analysis of process failures
  • Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies
  • Maintain detailed records of process changes
  • Generate reports for internal stakeholders

Requirements For Optical Assembly Process Development Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in optical assembly and packaging
  • Proficiency in handling optical components and alignment techniques
  • Experience with precision alignment stations, bonding systems, and metrology tools
  • Strong experience with fiber attach technologies
  • Hands-on experience in assembly of prototypes
  • Expertise in process development, test methodologies, and failure analysis
  • Knowledge of materials used in flip chip and fiber/lens attach processes
