Key responsibilities include leading fiber & lens attach processes, conducting experiments for optimization, collaborating with R&D teams, and ensuring quality control. Responsibilities For Optical Assembly Process Development Engineer
- Lead the development, optimization, and validation fiber & lens attach processes for prototype builds
- Design and conduct experiments to optimize process parameters fiber alignment/attachment
- Work closely with R&D and design teams to understand product requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical challenges
- Perform root cause analysis of process failures
- Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of equipment
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies
- Maintain detailed records of process changes
- Generate reports for internal stakeholders
Requirements For Optical Assembly Process Development Engineer
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in optical assembly and packaging
- Proficiency in handling optical components and alignment techniques
- Experience with precision alignment stations, bonding systems, and metrology tools
- Strong experience with fiber attach technologies
- Hands-on experience in assembly of prototypes
- Expertise in process development, test methodologies, and failure analysis
- Knowledge of materials used in flip chip and fiber/lens attach processes
