As a Physical Design Engineer at Lightmatter, you'll be integral to our mission of (re)inventing the future of computing with light. You'll work on backend digital execution for cutting-edge photonics-based interconnect solutions, collaborating with world-class scientists and engineers. This role combines traditional physical design expertise with the exciting challenge of working on revolutionary technology.
Your responsibilities will span from synthesis through routing, timing closure, and tapeout signoff. You'll be working with industry-standard tools while tackling unprecedented challenges in the field. The position requires strong technical skills in physical design, CMOS technologies, and programming capabilities in TCL and Python.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of industry experience, with a strong background in custom layout and proven success with large ASICs or mixed signal chips.
