Description For Platform Validation Engineer

As a Platform Validation Engineer, you'll be instrumental in validating next-generation Lightmatter products, working with cutting-edge photonics-based AI platforms. You'll develop comprehensive validation strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams including silicon design, digital verification, and system platform engineering, and ensure product quality from development through to high-volume manufacturing.

The role demands extensive experience in photonics and semiconductor products, combining technical expertise in validation with deep understanding of photonics and laser architecture. You'll be responsible for developing validation capabilities, tools, and platform-focused tests while also supporting customer deployment and technical issues.

Responsibilities For Platform Validation Engineer

  • Own development of platform-level post-silicon validation strategies and plans for photonics-based AI platform
  • Define validation plan for platform-level qualification and high-volume manufacturing
  • Partner with design teams during pre-silicon targets
  • Setting up validation capabilities, automation, and executing validation

Requirements For Platform Validation Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering/Science, or related fields
  • 12 years of industry experience in photonics and semiconductor products
  • 7 years of exposure to silicon and system validation
  • 5+ years of validation content and script development using Python or C++
  • Hands-on post-silicon chip, system power-on, and validation experience
  • Deep understanding of photonics, laser design, and architecture
