As a Senior Staff Photonics Hardware Engineer, you'll join a dynamic team developing cutting-edge Silicon Photonics-based Optical Interconnect Products. This role combines deep technical expertise with hands-on laboratory work, requiring mastery in Electro-Optic link-level testing and characterization.

You'll work directly with cross-functional teams, including design engineers and software engineers, contributing to the development of next-generation optical interconnect products. Responsibilities For Senior Staff Photonics Hardware Engineer

  • Gain deep understanding of chip specifications for bring-up, testing, and validation of Optical Interconnect products
  • Develop and support chip validation plans aligned to product specifications, xDVT, and interoperability testing
  • Contribute to test plan development, test bench configuration, lab equipment setup, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with product validation team for Electro-Optic link-level testing

Requirements For Senior Staff Photonics Hardware Engineer

Python
  • Master Degree in Electrical Engineering related field or equivalent experience
  • 12 years of experience in Data Communication field
  • Familiarity with PCB design and HW test debugging
  • Experience with standard bench test equipment for data communications
  • Basic scripting skills for automating lab tests
  • Understanding of electrical and optical blocks in transmitters and receivers
  • Experience with electro-optical simulation tools and validation software
