As a Silicon Photonics Test Development Engineer, you'll join a team of brilliant scientists and engineers working on cutting-edge optical computing technology. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) testing strategies for Silicon Photonics products, working at both wafer and package levels. This role combines expertise in photonics, electrical engineering, and software development to create sophisticated test solutions.

Responsibilities For Silicon Photonics Test Development Engineer

  • Work closely with architecture, design, product engineering, and customers to understand test needs
  • Create test plan documentation and feasibility analysis
  • Define, develop, and setup wafer and package level tests for silicon photonics products
  • Develop test software for execution, data analysis, and parameter extraction
  • Work with vendors to specify and procure test equipment
  • Setup and operate optical equipment
  • Engage with silicon and platform validation teams
  • Enable reliability teams for pre and post stress test needs
  • Keep up to date with Silicon Photonics technology and testability

Requirements For Silicon Photonics Test Development Engineer

Python
  • Master's in Photonics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in silicon photonics test development
  • Understanding of photonic integrated components and circuits
  • Hands on lab experience in optoelectronics testing
  • Experience working with design teams
  • Experience with test equipment including lasers, VNA, switches, etc.
  • Proficiency in Python for test automation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts
