Lightmatter builds chips that enable extreme-scale artificial intelligence computing clusters. They are hiring a Staff Electro-Optic Simulation Software Engineer to develop and maintain simulation tools across digital, analog, and photonics domains. The role involves working with device models, multiple simulators (including Xcelium, Spectre, and scattering parameter simulators), and programming languages such as SystemVerilog, VerilogA, and Python.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, enhancing, and maintaining models in digital, analog, and photonics domains
- Integrating and maintaining a mixed-signal framework
- Writing and maintaining code in SystemVerilog, VerilogA, and Python
- Developing automated testbenches and verification scripts
- Working closely with cross-functional teams
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for simulation tools
- Analyzing and optimizing simulation performance
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation
- Conducting training sessions and workshops
- Staying updated with the latest advancements in simulation technologies
The ideal candidate should have:
- 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines
- Strong skills in Cadence Spectre and understanding of SystemVerilog and VerilogA
- Experience in delivering successful simulation flow for high-volume silicon
- Expertise in software verification and testing methodologies
- Knowledge of digital circuit design in high-speed analog/photonic links
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills
Preferred qualifications include a PhD in a related field, experience with cocotb, Keysight ADS, and/or VPI Photonics, and experience developing state-of-the-art photonic links.
