Responsibilities For Thermal Engineer

  • Perform thermal simulations to influence package and system design
  • Propose novel thermal solutions to enable product portfolio
  • Develop and validate thermal models for packaging designs
  • Collaborate with design engineers to optimize thermal management solutions
  • Drive characterization and validation of thermal designs
  • Communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Develop analytical models for quick-turn assessments
  • Develop and maintain CFD tools and templates
  • Develop automation scripts using Python or MATLAB
  • Write comprehensive reports and document methodologies

Requirements For Thermal Engineer

Python
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • 3-4 years of experience in package or system thermal analysis
  • Deep knowledge of thermal conduction and convective heat transfer concepts
  • Experience with advanced thermal management technologies
  • Proficiency in ANSYS Icepak, ANSYS Fluent, and/or Flotherm
  • Experience with CFD simulations
  • Working knowledge of lab-scale validation techniques
