Description For Manufacturing Engineer, Propulsion

Lilium is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, Propulsion to join their team in Munich. This role is crucial in driving the completion of production orders for their groundbreaking Lilium jet, ensuring they are on time, within cost, and meeting quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in manufacturing engineering. Experience in safety-critical industries such as automotive or aviation is beneficial.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating activities for Design for Manufacturing (DFM) in collaboration with various teams
  • Providing first-level support for the shopfloor, including resolving ANDONs and implementing engineering changes
  • Driving industrialization efforts to deliver the Lilium jet on time, on cost, and with quality
  • Participating in APQP processes, including creating process flow diagrams and supporting PFMEA
  • Collaborating with Supply Chain & Logistics to improve processes
  • Working closely with Quality Inspection and Conformance Management teams

The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate should be a communicator, problem solver, and team player with at least B2 level English proficiency.
