Principal DevOps Engineer

Lilt is seeking a world-class DevOps engineer to build highly reliable software systems. As a Principal DevOps Engineer at Lilt, you'll apply your software talents to infrastructure and operations needs, including bare-metal Linux deployments and commercial deployments in GCP and AWS. You'll work on improving multi-region configurations for low latency worldwide and expand into new regions. Collaboration with the engineering team to support new and ongoing products is key.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting technical operations in development and production systems
• Delivering infrastructure engineering projects
• Collaborating with R&D teams for fast and reliable software delivery
• Securing platform infrastructure and hardening on-premise builds
• Ensuring high uptime and fast, multi-regional server and DB performance
• Working on SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs with engineering teams
• Contributing to infrastructure and engineering roadmap planning
• Executing roadmap in sprints and adhering to SCRUM best practices
• Implementing new technologies in InfoSec, DevOps, and Site Reliability
• Supporting self-managed customers on-site
• Technically leading a group of subject-matter experts

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator or DevOps Engineer
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools, preferably Terraform
• Experience with GCP services or equivalents
• Solid understanding of Docker and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes
• Expertise in monitoring/alerting and maintaining high production availability
• Experience with CI/CD tools and concepts
