Sr Software Engineering Manager, Data Platform

LILT is seeking a Sr Software Engineering Manager for their Data Platform team. This role involves building and leading a world-class team of Software Engineers, Researchers, and Data Analysts to define, drive, and execute the creation of the next generation of Lilt's data platform. The position offers a hybrid work model with 2 days in-office and the rest remote, based out of DC, Indy, Emeryville, or Boston offices.

Key responsibilities include:

• Hiring and developing a team of software engineers, researchers, and data analysts
• Evolving software development processes
• Partnering with stakeholders to understand data requirements
• Driving architectural and software quality improvements
• Setting realistic goals and managing expectations
• Facilitating team career development

The ideal candidate should have:

• BS, MS, or PhD in a science or engineering discipline
• 2+ years of Manager of Managers or 4+ years of Engineering Manager experience
• 3+ years of experience in architecting, designing, and scaling systems
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies and data structures
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
