Our technology enables global organizations like Intel, ASICS, WalkMe, and Canva to deliver multilingual, digital customer experiences at scale.

As a Staff Data Engineer at LILT, you'll be at the forefront of scaling and modernizing our data infrastructure. You'll work on improving reliability and performance, collaborating on AI engineering projects to enhance our AI data pipelines, products, and services. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, including team lead duties and significant input on roadmap definition and execution.

You'll be part of a high-performance engineering team that prioritizes workflow and backend AI systems. We tackle interesting cloud engineering problems and have a strong preference for building our own backend technology, implementing the latest NLP techniques.

Key responsibilities include designing event-driven and fault-tolerant systems, implementing new data products and services, leading data team projects, and maintaining high standards of technical excellence. You'll also collaborate closely with the product team to translate business requirements into actionable deliverables.

We're looking for someone with 5-10 years of software development experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a keen interest in AI technologies. Proficiency in Java and Python is essential, along with extensive experience in Apache Kafka, Presto, and/or NoSQL datastores. Knowledge of Apache Hadoop, BigQuery, and BigTable is a plus.

At LILT, we offer a dynamic hybrid work environment, combining in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. You'll enjoy competitive compensation, comprehensive medical benefits, and a monthly lifestyle stipend. Join us in shaping the future of AI-driven enterprise translations!
