The role sits within the Account Abuse AI team, whose mission is to create safe, authentic, and transparent experiences for LinkedIn's global community. As the Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for building out the next generation abuse modeling ecosystem, focusing on detecting and preventing fake accounts while ensuring a world-class enforcement experience.
The position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills. You'll need 5+ years of professional experience working with AI algorithms, Machine Learning, and LLMs, along with either management experience leading an AI/ML team or Staff-level engineering experience. A strong educational background in Computer Science or related field is essential, as is deep understanding of enterprise-grade architecture and ML solutions.
Key responsibilities include managing team performance and career development, coaching engineers to deliver impactful ML solutions at scale, developing strategic roadmaps with senior management, and leading technical discussions. You'll collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams including anti-abuse infrastructure, product, data science, and Trust & Safety.
The compensation package is highly competitive, ranging from $250,000 to $268,000 annually, plus additional benefits including annual bonus, sign-on bonus, and RSUs. LinkedIn offers comprehensive health and wellness programs, generous time off, and a hybrid work arrangement based in Sunnyvale, CA.
