LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network, is seeking an Associate Technical Services Manager to join their team in Bangalore. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technical support and product quality improvement. The position involves monitoring product health, investigating complex technical issues, and working directly with Engineering and Product Management teams to enhance member experiences.

As an Associate Technical Services Manager, you'll be responsible for analyzing data from multiple sources, including real-time product monitoring, member escalations, and social media, to identify and prioritize issues. Your team serves as the final escalation point before engineering, handling the most complex technical challenges that weren't resolved through other support channels.

The role requires a strong technical background with a BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience, plus 3+ years in technical support or related fields. You'll need proficiency in web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, SQL), Unix systems, and familiarity with tools like JIRA and Salesforce. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, as you'll be working with diverse stakeholders and presenting complex technical information to various audiences.

Responsibilities For Associate Technical Services Manager

  • Monitor product health and quality based on data from multiple sources
  • Review, investigate, and resolve complex technical member cases within target SLAs
  • Monitor and analyze reporting and dashboards to identify issues
  • Report on escalation trends, top issues, and improvement opportunities
  • Partner with Product & Engineering stakeholders to drive quality improvement initiatives
  • Drive post mortems to identify process gaps and take corrective actions
  • Drive overall support readiness for new products and features
  • Work independently to find facts and effectively communicate ideas
  • Attend key stakeholder meetings to provide awareness of issues and initiatives

Requirements For Associate Technical Services Manager

JavaScript
Node.js
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Technical Support, Quality Assurance, Product Operations, Product Management or related field
  • Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, SQL, AJAX, APIs, and web development technologies
  • Familiarity with Unix and cURL
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Hive and Pig
  • Familiarity with issue management systems like JIRA and Bugzilla
  • Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce and Zendesk
